Irish born Shimara’s childhood fascination for collecting shells, stones, mermaid’s purses, feathers and seed pods found along the sea shore has been the constant inspiration for her work. Now based in Australia, she continues to take inspiration from the shoreline and works with silver, 18k gold, silk paper and gum nuts to create her tactile jewellery. All her pieces are hand made and beautifully unique. Shimara also makes some stunning fine silver and 24k yellow gold hand-raised free standing sculptures.
