On Valentine’s Day 2019 Actor, Orlando Bloom popped the question to his girlfriend of three years Singer, Katy Perry with a stunningly unique engagement ring.

A few hours later Katy took to instagram to share their wonderful news and give everyone a first glimpse of her spectacular ruby and diamond floral inspired engagement ring. And we adore it!

According to Ronan Campbell, our private jeweller at DesignYard, “Based on the pictures shared, Katy’s centre stone is either a ruby or vivid pink diamond weighing approximately two and a half carats. The centre stone is complimented by a surrounding floral halo of eight white round brilliant cut diamonds also with a combined weight of approximately two and half carats. This is a beautiful, substantial and valuable ring. I’d imagine the gems are set in at least 18k yellow gold”. Ronan adds “It is hard to put an exact price on this ring without seeing it up close. It depends on the characteristics of the stones. If the centre stone is a rare pink diamond, we could be talking a value of around €4.5m, if not more”. This would make this ring one of the most expensive celebrity engagement rings.
